Reno – State Sen. Mark Amodei, a partner with the statewide law firm of Kummer Kaempfer Bonner Renshaw & Ferrario, announced today that he has accepted the position of president of the Nevada Mining Association (NMA) effective Oct. 1, 2007. He replaces Russ Fields, who will retire at the end of the year following 10 years of service with the leading trade association for mining in the state of Nevada.

Sen. Amodei will remain in his current position at the firm until the end of August.
